Sports are my passion. I grew up playing all kinds of sports in his home state of Iowa. I played Football, Basketball, Softball, and other recreational sports throughout high school. I played football at Wartburg College and was part of their first team to make it to the final 8 in Wartburg history. When I was not playing sports, I was working on my family’s farm, where I learned a lot about strength development and work ethic.
In college, I studied fitness management, but my true passion for learning started after college when I found the Z-Health Curriculum. I have spent the last 12 years studying an in-depth curriculum on Applied Functional Neurology and Performance. This included multi day certifications, hands-on practical training and hours of studying, which I continue to do.
I relocated to Nashville in 2011, where I started as the Associate Fitness Director at Hillwood Country Club. I am so thankful to the clients that have been with me for 10+ years, as we continue to find things to improve for them and help them find and chase new goals.
In the past few years, I have expanded my training experience, to include in home training, golf specific training, as well as working with speciality cases in a Functional Neurology clinic.
While my passion has always been sports specific training, I have found joy in helping people that have been failed by other treatments and systems.
I now live in the Bellevue area with my wife, and fill my working days with seeing clients in their homes, at Hillwood, on the driving range or field, and in my own home. In my spare time, you can find me studying, watching or playing sports, and spending as much time outside as possible .
